Joseph Gordon-Levitt: loved this movie. Loved this scene.
I say “love” a whole damn lot on this tumblr. I guess I didn’t love this scene so much as I was overpowered by it.
from Mysterious Skin.
Live version of “Speechless” by Lady Gaga (studio version below)
the Lady herself on Ellen DeGeneres
Speechless - Lady Gaga
To anyone who doesn’t believe Lady Gaga really has talent, this should prove otherwise.
It is a studio recording, but the live version is just as impressive.
The song was written for her father, to persuade him to get the open-heart surgery he needed. My respect and love for Lady Gaga grows every day (which is why I’ve spent an hour on YouTube looking up her very entertaining live performances and acoustic covers instead of studying for finals. DON’T JUDGEEEEE)

Lady Gaga meeting Queen Elizabeth.
I love Lady Gaga so, so, so, so much. I would wear that eye stuff in public.
Vienna Teng - Cannonball (Damien Rice)
This song/her voice is so gorgeous. The original is amazing too.

I would love these “Lonely Glasses” designed by Jess Atkinson. So fun and clever.
HAH this is adorable.

i’m posting this first and foremost for the gorgeous rendering, more than the content of the text.
but that said: do you agree?
i’d say yes, but only to a finite extent. my interpretation is that we enter into the world alone, and we will leave alone: therefore we have a responsibility to our own souls and our own strength and to an individual sort of introspection that lets us identify with ourselves. not with a definition of what others seek to push on us. not with any sort of obligation to feel pressured by what others think of us. to be able to stand strong and sure as oneself, because that’s where the orb of your life centers.
but to a certain degree, our lives and our happinesses are also defined by those around us; they are not shaping us without our control, but our mutual interactions allow for learning, growth, and all that good stuff. interaction with others is so incredibly important for each and every human being. so when you leave the world, you’ll go with not only your own strong soul but also the reflections of everyone you’ve loved and hated - their effects on your life manifested in the way you’ve taken them in and treated them.
i am not sure what the original author meant to say (i am probably taking this wildly out of context), but this is what i’d like to believe.

Frank couldn’t believe that the angry mob had the audacity to call him insensitive. Especially after he had just spent five minutes apologizing to them for accidentally killing what he estimated to be around twenty-five hundred dollars worth of people.
